Full disclosure: I think its time an entire reboot of our city government, too many of the same names, or dynasties.... Im not interested in perpetuating someone's family business (as we have seen with our economic planning hire).

With that said, who is going to take over the town? Who is going to run? Most of us who realize that the city needs help and new direction are just saying "fxck it" and moving out of town.

Or people like me are seeing what they are up against (a bunch of psychophants who have worked on being one for the many years they have observed the folks in office, or its a buddy program where they can't even spell right on the official job postings, but they sure do throw good parties), and saying, "nope".

But therein lies the problem, no?

Its people like me that SHOULD run, but we know that people like y'all wouldn't vote for us even if we had the best ideas and a 'perfect plan'.

Because we dont have the name recognition or the connections.

Im running soon, but I have kids to raise, and they take priority.

But again I ask, who is going to take his spot (he hasnt done a BAD job, honestly)?

You'll see, it'll be someone else with a last name you see across city administration and they will hire their buddies and family and we will continue to have the potential to continue losing our tax base, etc.

    Just my though stream.
