    The township game! Archived Message

You should closely examine the "political career" of Ken Davis, former Nameoki Township Supervisor if you want to talk about rape.

Worked (earned a salary) and retired (received a pension) from Metro East Sanitary District WHILE he held the office for many years as the Nameoki Township Supervisor where he earned a salary and is now collecting a pension.

After he left office in the township a couple of years ago, he was REHIRED as treasurer at the Metro East Sanitary District where he is again earning a salary while collecting his pension.

While township supervisor, he hired his wife, who worked for him with inexplicable and continuous salary increases, even increasing her salary right before retirement and justifying it as "training pay" for her replacement. She has now retired from the township and is pulling her IMRF pension.

    So break it down:

    Township Supervisor Salary
    Township Supervisor Pension

    MESD Salary
    MESD Pension

MESD Salary again, working on additional pension.

    Wifey poo's Township Salary
    Wifey poo's Township Pension

And dont' forget to factor in all that primo health insurance coverage for the two of them throughout the years. And they are probably both collecting Social Security Retirement by now.

Life must be mighty sweet in the Davis household.

Look at the names Ken Davis is aligned with at the MESD...

Bob Shipley, Granite City Township Supervisor AND
Executive Director of the Metro East Sanitary District. Earning a salary from both and will collect pensions from both.

Frank Laub, MESD Commissioner, the name stands alone, there is nothing he hasn't been involved in or received a salary from. His wife Darlene is the Granite City Township Assessor. Their daughter is married to Joe Juneau who is all up in Nameoki Township and their "drainage committee" and Granite City engineering issues.

Bill Hanfelder, MESD Commissioner (yeah, really)
Father of Nameoki Township Assessor Tammy Hanfelder who worked both on the township road crew AND held the assessor job at the same time. Who now works a full time job in another city position in Collinsville. She is still assessor. Where does she find the time? Yep, really.

Andy Economy, Venice Township Supervisor, owns Andy's auto business in Madison, FORMERLY sat at the MESD until all of that nasty business happened last year and Alan Dunstan asked him to resign (probably through tears). He was featured on local television media last year as well, regarding his wife working and making a salary and building her pension in the township. He remains at the township as does his wife.

Am I the only one who sees a pattern here?

Even Alan Dunstan, Madison County Board Superintendent has another day job, Jarvis Township Supervisor.

    Yep, definitely a pattern.
