I would prefer these athletes speak up about injustice, as they have the platform.
And, yes they do (the police) have a right to sit out games, and I would support them (just like I did with the Beyonce crap).
With all of that said, though, I think some of us are looking at this as black and white (the colors, not the "race) when it is PURELY spherical.
As well as this being MUCH more complex a discussion to have than a text string will illicit.
I just ask folks take a breath and see the big picture with this stuff......
Again, Megan Rapinoe kneeled specifically in solidarity with Kaepernick, is she unAmerican? Is she "not doing it right?"

We dont have to like it. But the fact that we are STILL talking about it (and more and more and more athletes are joining in) means it worked.
NO I dont support calling cops pigs, I dont support telling an athlete (when for years I've heard the exact OPPOSITE) to "sit down, take your millions, play your game, and shut up," because they have the platform to put forth the issues (right, wrong, or indifferent) that need to be put forth.
This is not going away and is only going to grow, and I am glad that they are speaking up for the "little guy or gal" for once, instead of taking their millions and shutting their mouths.
