This Saturday morning, from 9 - 10, people will be meeting at three local McDonald's restaurants:

    Bethalto
Granite City (Nameoki and Johnson Road), and
    Troy

to get petitions and instructions on how and where to gather signatures to place a binding referendum on the November ballot to reduce property taxes.

To learn more about this effort to reduce property taxes, read the recent article in the Madison County Record.

If you would like to help, but can't make it this Saturday morning, please contact Kurt Prenzler and he will send you the petition and instructions.

You may text/call Kurt on his personal cell phone (618-514-2599) or email him at kprenzler@charter.net.

We need 17,000 signatures before May 1.

    An impossible task?

    No. We've done it before.

In 2013, 300 citizens gathered 23,000 signatures within 30 days to force an $18.8 million bond issue onto the ballot - a tax increase that the Democrat-dominated county board wanted to impose without voter approval.

    Will you help us?

You will find that almost everyone signs the petition.

People simply want an opportunity to lower taxes on the ballot.

You may text/call Kurt on his personal cell phone (618-514-2599) or email him at kprenzler@charter.net.

If you call him during office hours, he will return your call after office hours.
