polling place was PACKED! I mean packed!
I can't wait to see what the turn out statistics are.

    And here is my gripe!

I wasn't asked for I.D., not a huge issue since I had my Voter Registration Card, so that issue I'm on the fence about. I know it is not law that you show I.D., but in this state, it should be mandatory..especially in Springfield and all places north of it.

But what really pisses me off is after signing my name on the obligatory card (I guess to make sure no one else votes under my name and to check against the signature on my card) they ask, Republican or Democrat and then put a big old check mark on the card I just signed to let the powers that be know which ballot I asked for!

    That is BS!

Once your identity is not in question...that should be it, end of the signing in process.

Put everything on one ballot and explain...ONE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE ONLY, either Republican or Democrat. And the same for all the other races.

A Dem column and a Rep column, and instructions on how to do it.

It's crap if I want a particular candidate for a particular office and have to base my vote for that candidate on a single ballot with everyone else of that party, and then not be able to vote for someone else in another office in the other party.

Only in Illinois. When asked which ballot I wanted I gave her my response and she says, and I quote "But you're registered ____________".

I asked, are you allowed to say that to me? I don't think you allowed to say that to me, and it is not your business how I vote.

Just like whoever gets those little white cards with my signature on it, where you just ticked a box for either Democrat or Republican ballot, it's none of their business either. Who do I contact about this? Who gets those cards at the end of the day? Who goes through them to see how people voted?

Duh, I don't know. It's just the rules.

Damn state. Second highest property taxes in the ENTIRE COUNTRY, New Jersey is number one.

A tied in a knot fiasco in Springfield, with more corrupt Democrats than you can shake a stick at. And the handful of Republicans are just as bad.

All off on their MONTH LONG vacation, turning their backs on a budge eight months over due.

Illinois, Illinois, Illinois you have to love the armpit of the country.
