A lot of these 'concerned parents' voted against the tax increase (despite overwhelming warning that something like this was coming), and now that the reality stick has come down, "they want answers." |
So because parents voted against the tax increase we have no right to know what is going on? As a tax payer they owe us answers, I don't care if you voted for or against the increase they need to give us answers!
You reap what you sow.
I hope the school board members remember this statement when they get voted out for not being open and honest about things.
I do not expect our school board, who spent a ton of time (as well as some hard working parents) trying to explain that the tax increase would negate the necessity for this.....But, some of the same parents who have "concerns" now, were the same ones against it.
I expect honest open answers as a taxpayer and homeowner of this community, it's their job, it's what they are supposed to do. Instead they want to come to meetings with no figures and expect everyone to just accept it. This is why we need business men and women on the board not ex teachers. It's a business and needs to be run like one. So darn tired of this attitude they don't owe us an explanation.!! YES YES They do!!! we are paying for it!!!
