First LIG, Happy New Year. The old shot at Lisa was just my evil side. Sometimes I'm just like that. This I caught this particular poster in a blatant misrepresentation of the facts so I called her on it. Lots of views on this thread so my guess is she is looking in and not responding to the challenge. Do I think the school system sometimes can do wrong. OH HELL YES! I would have liked to see them live up to the no salary increases for ANYBODY and not just the administration (which they later changed) I would like to see them be stronger on negotiations and try to go after some big ticket items like insurance. I would like to see them enact a total hiring freeze. As I pointed out in an earlier post, I question the hiring of janitors and paraprofessionals on the same night they closed two buildings. There may be rational thought behind it but I don't see it yet. I would have liked to see some posted savings with this move of closing schools and going to attendance centers. However, I support them in as much as they were put in charge via our voting process. They're people just like you and I. They have no higher skill level of planning and management than you and I. I just don't like seeing officials criticized without bringing new ideas to the table. In this case the board closed buildings in an effort to save money. Greenwald told us the board would do that if the referendum failed. Now people act like they knew nothing of this plan. Finally I would offer this. Some people like this KRM woman want to be included on all decisions. Where does it stop? Do we insist the board have public hearings on who the football coach would be? on what textbook the 5th grade will use? Personally that sounds a little whacked to me. At any rate, sorry for the length of my response. Good to see you again LIG. Always enjoy your replies. God bless and have a great 2016.
