seems logical to me. Better than I thought with the partner schools idea. I am not sure what the savings would be (i didn't see it either). I believe the cost savings vs the cost of more busses would be janitorial, cafeteria and what ever classes they are able to combine such as PE. that is the info they should have in this presentation also. My first question would be what are the class sizes now compared to the combined "partner" system. I was in grade school when the mass closures happened in 83/84 and classes were huge, too much for one teacher to be able to handle.... Lastly, when i was at Parkview (Worthen) in the late 70's/early 80's it was a very nice school (as my memory serves) I walked the school for a remodel project I was bidding and it seemed very run down, even the old milk cooler seemed the same, or from the same era.... it was very depressing. There were so many water issues with the small basement, all the electrical/mechanical equipment was relocated and it was filled in about 4 feet. Just bums me out that our great city has fallen so far in my lifetime...
