The fool defending him in this article assumes the majority of tax payers are brainless idiots.
I guess Andy figured if he resigned ahead of the chairman's request, that maybe they would quell the investigation. Too bad.
Now the State's Attorney needs to look into his business practices whereby he basically holds a vehicle hostage until the storage fees are literally too much for the owner of the vehicle, so he just allows them to sign the title over to him because they can't afford to retrieve their car.
I'm sure, he conveniently moves those vehicles into his body shop and resells them.
And shame on Granite City for requiring the owners of these vehicles towed to his facility to be forced to pay the city before they can get their vehicle back.
Crooked, crooked mess. Andy Economy, just another corrupt official getting rich off the backs of ordinary taxpayers, and all his fellow board members are equally complicate. No one has a problem with this crap until someone throws a spotlight on it, then all of a sudden EVERYBODY is wanting to do the "right thing".
