Nameoki Township Highway DepartmentNameoki Township Highway DepartmentSometime in May 2015, access to the Highway Department's webpage was blocked. Each department's web page was displayed in the navigational bar across the top and was updated and changed by the individual department - The website used a very easy editing program.
From the May 11th Meeting Minutes:
PUBLIC INPUT:
"Highway Commissioner Secretary Mel Moore informed those present that the Highway Department has been blocked from the Township website. Discussion followed whereby Supervisor Viessman stated that he will look into the problem to see what can be done to settle the situation."
Later that same evening, Supervisor Viessman informed me that the girls in the front office would be responsible for making any requested changes to the road department's webpage.
Defying censorship and unreasonable obstructionism, the Highway Commissioner requested that I find a webmaster who would be affordable to our own pocketbook to keep the public informed. We found one. We were then going to request from the front office, that the heading and content in the navigational bar be re-directed to the new website.
We were notified by a private citizen that the road department was removed from the Township's navigational bar - we rec'd no notification this action was being taken by the Township administration .. it was juvenile.
