It's really a shame that the city does not do Pride Awards for people's yards.
I remember such a glow in my dad when he would win his.. Of course, I lived in Alton then.
Now that I am a GC homeowner, I take immense pride in our yard. It's also a hobby and I am quite proud. This year it will be even better than last year... Even the neighbors came over while walking and told us to slow down, and that they were going to have to step up their game. LOL (Sorry for tooting my own horn.)
I wish people took more pride in their properties. It really helps the city and makes us better as a community.
Is anyone else going to the plant sale at St E's on Saturday? I am!
