1) what are the salaries for the school board? The are not paid or compensated in any way. FACT.
2) what is the status of children from other communities (non 62040) going to our schools? I'm not sure that you could ever find that out. If a kid sneaks in and gives a fake address or says he lives with a relative in the district boundaries, my guess is they'll go un-noticed. This is not fair to the local taxpayer as this increases class size.
3) if non 62040 kids are going to our schools, where are they from?
You asked us not to speculate but my guess is they come from Venice and or Madison.
4) if non 62040 kids are from non 62040 areas, are those non 62040 areas paying our school?
I would say no as a FACT.
5) how many parents, who are INVOLVED with their kids' education (not just giving them a book and telling them to do their homework, and then blaming the teacher) have an issue with our school system? (for disclosure, I have 3 kids in the school system from 8th to 4th grade and have had ZERO issue..)
No way to answer this one with FACTS but you're the kind of parent needed. How can we expect kids to care if the parents don't?
If you can answer those with "NON-SPECULATIVE" (eg, sourced) data, I'd much appreciate it.
