Hello everyone. This is my first time commenting here but I have been a reader for a long time. I like this blog very much and read often to see what is going on.
The reason I am writing now is this morning on my way to pick up the last of my holiday items, I drove past Wilson Park as I normally do. I noticed kids hunting Easter eggs in the park. I mentioned this to the check out girl and she told me she thought the park held an Easter egg hunt every year.
I would have loved to participate with my family but had no idea that this was being offered to the community. I have not seen this advertised anywhere, even on the cable TV announcements for Granite City nothing has been advertised there. Not in that Advantage paper and not on here.
My neighbor told me to check on Face Book, but I don't do Face Book. So I looked up the park's web site. Again nothing was listed there either.
My question is, is this a by invitation only event? Can someone let me know for next year?
I also want to mention how disappointing the Wilson Park web site is. The front page looks like its messed up and it looks like all the information is from nine years ago. 2006. And there is not a lot of information on it.
I'm not complaining but really curious how this event can go unannounced to everyone in the community.
