The teacher's union opted out of a forensic audit? Archived Message

Read through this blog post, its from last year, but offers a form letter that they were encouraging the general public to fill out and mail asking for a forensic audit to find out where the money went.

They even mention exposing any "criminal activity" if and when found.

Read the form letter, read the entire page.

Someone posted that the district refused this audit at first, but then agreed. And at that point, the union changed their mind.

YEAH,that's the story that was put out, but we all know the district screamed uncle like a mo-fo and broke their necks to agree to the unions terms after a threat like that.

Come on peeps, the big wigs in the district know they don't have to worry about sixty five percent of the population in this town, because they don't pay real estate taxes..and as long as their LINK and HUD aren't screwed with...they don't give a shit.

Then you have the twenty percent who are just complacent, don't vote..go with the flow.

Then you have the fifteen percent like us...the ones who won't swallow or bend over.

Those big wigs HATE US, we are the vocal minority. They want us to just butt out and allow the way they have always ran things to continue.

So their first tactic is your ignorant to the facts. Then they tell us to attend meetings where most issues have already been decided long before brought to the table. You must sign up to speak and are held to a time limit. Really, when is the last time you saw an open and honest question and answer session with no limits at a board meeting?

But we aren't ignorant to the facts and that's why we're vocal...so they just want us to shut up or to prove we are some disgruntled parents who....what were Clancy's words? Oh, oh...because our little precious had issues at school...and you get the rest.

Clancy has learned from the best.

When Opi said your audience isn't that big here, well it's a hell of a lot bigger than at the board meetings. I mean look at the hit counts on these posts.

I for one will not be stifled, I will speak what I know and question what I want to know.

My first question is, is the board still protecting the name of the hired investigator who "investigated" Brian Harshany? As taxpayers we have the right to know who was paid for this investigation and who performed it. We don't need to know the contents of the investigation because most of us already know. Why has this been held so closely to the vest and why would it be immune to the FOIA laws?

Who investigated Brian Harshany? How much were they paid, and who was it paid to?

Tell me that, tell all of us that, and show some integrity for the first time in your board of education careers. Or continue to the cover up and let our district sink when this referendum goes belly up.

And who the hell is the Financial Manager at the board of education? Name?

And it appears he didn't manage too well.

    I've only begun.
