I beg to differ unfortunately. I think there are more here in Granite City than any surrounding communities.
You see people talking to themselves, yelling at invisible people, fighting with things that aren't there, it's terrible.
I wonder if it's because of Kettler and Chestnut, and support services offered in this town: The Community Care Center, Jesus' Place, Salvation Army and numerous church's offering free meals and clothes, and somewhere to merely exist.
You rarely saw people like this on our streets, now it's commonplace, especially on Madison Avenue and near downtown.
