    I'll bite. I don't really know that I would go to the extremes that the preppers do, but I remember the "high wind" that came through about 8 years ago.It pulled the power lines off my house and everything in the fridge and freezer ruined. No water, no power for many folks. I keep a pretty good supply of just about everything since then. The state of the world these days, you never know. Looking back at disasters like Katrina, 9-11,etc, I'd rather be somewhat prepared. You always hear of the constant threat to the water supply. I don't "dwell" on it, but I remember to look at the fact that I live in a steel town near Boeing, Defense Mapping, Scott Air Force Base, Monsanto,the oil refineries and many other prime targets for mayhem makers. Call me crazy... (others have.)
