They're doing a nice job with some of the small shops now. I really like what they're doing in the used book store. Nicely set up and decorated. Even painted the outside wall to look like a stack of books.
Very nice job with the coffee shop. I wish one of the aldermen would come on and explain what the real delay is with the micro brewery. It's way overdue so something has to be going on.
I know Alderdan the answerman is on here periodically. Also, Whitaker advertises her business on this site and she represents part of the downtown area. Why no answers people? The project was partly if not fully funded with TIF funds so I think explanations are appropriate.
Don't get me wrong. I hope it still happens or better yet, another owner with a better business plan pick up the ball an run with it.
Downtown is too close to coming back to allow a main anchor like the old bank to sit.
