The Granite City Police Department is investigating a Fatal Hit and Run that occurred between 9:40 p.m. last night (6/5/2014) and 6:00 a.m. this morning. The Hit and Run occurred on the Bike Trail approximately 100 yards North of Victory Drive / Terminal Avenue. We are asking the public for any information that can aid us in our investigation. There is a time period for reporting a Hit and Run and we are hoping that the person responsible will come forward before this window of opportunity closes. We are not releasing the name of the victim at this time. Once next of kin is notified we will release this information. Anyone with information please call, (618) 877-6111.
