    I think that was wonderful for you "pay forward" for the gentleman and his wife. I remember as a child (born May, 1934) living on Cleveland Blvd. I was an only child then, and was afraid the Army people would come to our front door and take my father of to war.I told my Dad, "Don't worry Daddy, just hide in the closet and I will tell them you are not at home"!!!!!I didn't have a clue how they recruited at that time. However there was On Neidringhaus corner a recruiting office. Oh the innocence of little children!!
