Marine Corps alums Jay Knight & Denny Salisbury are cycling from Boston to Seattle to honor fallen comrade, Johnny Strong, who was killed in action in Afghanistan. Their goal is to generate more awareness of the difficulties facing veterans dealing with grief & loss, as well as raising money for Child's Play, a group that assists kids staying in hospitals for long periods of time. Knight & Salisbury will be appearing at the Granite City Elks Lodge at 4801 Maryville Rd. on Wednesday night, June 11. The public is invited to a benefit spaghetti dinner, beginning at 5pm.
