Exactly Op. That's just what I was thinking. So they didn't hire union carpenters to do what? Really, to do what? The kitchen was already there, restroom(s) were already there, along with the REST OF THE INTERIOR.
They are picketing because they used non-union painters and decorators?
The local union organization in this town borders on the absurd....really, a district secretarial union? To protect them from what? Flying rubberbands, broken heels on their pumps, ergonomically-correct desk chairs????
Working an abbreviated work year in a perfectly controlled climate, and getting paid for every dang conceivable holiday...and topping it off with a chitty attitude... Yeah, that makes a lot of sense to me.
So you bet I'll hop in there for a meal or two, if only to prove a freakin' point.
