On September 19th 2013 Alex (Al or Big Al as we all affectionately call him) was diagnosed with cancer. It all started with a large tumor appearing on his left shoulder blade. After a number of tests they found out it was a type of cancer called Ewing's Sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer that only occurs in about 2500 people a year.
Friends and family are planning a Benefit Chicken and Beer Dance on Saturday, March 22, 2014 to raise funds to assist him and his family with medical expenses and the income he has lost due to being unable to work full time while battling this disease. So with your help we are wanting to raise some money to help them out! The event will be held at:
Mexican Honorary Commission 1801 Spruce St, Granite City, IL 62040 March 22nd 2014, 6P-11P Tickets are $20.00 each or $25.00 at the door
Ticket cost covers: Chicken dinner - chicken, 2 sides, roll and dessert, beer, soda, DJ and all the dancing you can cram into 5 hours!
All money raised goes straight to the family, so please give freely and come out and join us.
