Yes, I most certainly do. Christmas seemed so magical back then. Now I'm watching them rap old Christmas songs, and honestly if I hear the term "doorbuster" one more time I'm going to stab myself in the eye.

I remember real trees, with real tinsel, put on a single strand at a time. And the annual trip to see Santa was in our local cabin, and you wore one of your nicest dresses and Sunday only shoes. Window shopping was a major event, seeing all the windows at Stix, Baer and Fuller and at Famous and Barr.

When hot chocolate was really a treat, and it didn't come out of an envelope. Oranges and apples were in the bottom of your Christmas stocking and you were happy to get them in the middle of winter.

Nothing is the same anymore. I remember sitting on the couch for hours with the Sears Christmas Catalog, what they offered back then was of such good quality, and the toys and dolls were so special.

We are of a different generation opi, and everyone knows that no one understands the next generation or two that come after them. Life as we knew it will never be again.

This commercial used to mesmerize me. Oh, the good old days.
