The mission of “Celebrate Granite City” is to shine a light on the roots and treasured history of Granite City, Illinois. “Celebrate Granite City” efforts focus on strengthening the pride in our city, increasing the sense of community and developing a connection among citizens past, present and future.
If you live in, work in, born in or otherwise have an interest in the past, present and future of Granite City you should try to become a member of this group. Our next meeting (planning a history fair for next Fall) in tomorrow, Tuesday, November 19 - 6:30 pm at the temporary Main Library located at the old Niedringhaus School on State Street.
