COMPARE THE STINK
Nancy Pelosi told us that we wouldn’t know what’s in the Affordable Care Act until we “pass” it. Yes, she was so right.
A doctor friend told me, you know … that’s what we tell patients when we ask for a stool sample.
I’ll let you supply the comparisons, but now, even Democrats realize they were told lies about Obamacare ... and now, they are smelling the stink others noticed long before the bill passed.
Even Leftist Bill Maher is saying the Administration and all its soldiers knew the President was not lying when he said, If you like your insurance plan, you can keep it. (My brother reminded me when Congressman Joe Wilson called President Bush a liar … and got blasted by Maher and other Lefties.)
Since you were a kid, you knew … you tell one lie … you have to tell another to protect that lie and then another and pretty soon … there is no truth.
So, now President Obama is “tweaking” his statement.
Here’s his latest position: "If you have or had one of these plans before the Affordable Care Act came into law and you really liked that plan, what we said was you could keep it if it hasn't changed since the law's passed. So we wrote into the Affordable Care Act you are grandfathered in on that plan. But if the insurance company changes it, then what we're saying is they have got to change it to make it better.”
He went on to say, "The bottom line is -- is that we are making the insurance market better for everybody and that's right thing to do." So, it’s the right thing to do … to force insurance companies get rid of plans that consumers could afford with deductibles they could accept.
(The President is ignoring Americans who are losing coverage … not because of their insurance plans or companies, but because their employers are having to drop plans because of Obamacare.)
For those getting cancellation notices, the President says … the notices “can be scary for people”.
Really? Really?
What would he know about something being “scary” … other than to be scared when Congressmen came to him and said they needed protection for staff … when labor and some companies said we need special exemptions. Those things scared President Obama into making sure those groups got better deals than the rest of the public.
Keep in mind, when selling this “medicine oil” … President Obama lied to Democrats … because if they had known the truth … the bill would have been flushed down the toilet.
So far, about 3.5 million Americans have been notified they will lose their insurance; there will be more.
In the midst of those numbers, President Obama said last week the cancellations are limited to fewer than 5 percent of Americans "who've got cut-rate plans that don't offer real financial protection in the event of a serious illness or an accident."
So, we created, passed and forced Obamacare on the nation when only 5% of Americans needed some health care reform?
Couldn’t we have taken all the dollars spent on just building the website (much less the cost of the President and staff flying all over the nation to promote it) … and put that money into a special fund and taken care of those 5% and those who could not get insurance coverage because of existing conditions?
I will say this … President Obama learned well from President Clinton.
When you have a lie to sell … convince your wife, your Cabinet, your staff, your supporters that you are telling the truth and then send them across the nation to sell that lie. Clinton did it when he said, I did not have sex with that woman.
Later when that lie was uncovered, even Cabinet and staff members felt betrayed … and then, there’s Hillary.
So, in view of all these issues, I go back to the doctor’s statement: When we need a stool sample … we tell patients, we won’t know what’s in it … until you pass it.
