I know that concealed-carry laws have really kept murders from happening in North St. Louis.

And they have been responsible for Detroit, St. Louis, Birmingham, and Memphis having lower murder rates than Chicago.

Oh wait none of it is true.

    I'm not even against it.

But sometimes it may work, but other times it just might not. In other words, if Illinois is the only state without concealed carry, you would think that Illinois would be a hot bed of crime.

Really, it's just the West and South Sides of Chicago. Essentially, are other Illinois cities havens for crime? Do other cities besides have a homicide epidemic any worse than cities in other states?

Concealed carry will do for Illinois what it has done for other states.

    Nothing.

I'm not against it, but I'm a realist and it won't make Illinois a safer State.

If it did, then 49 states in the union would be safer than Illinois...and that's just not true.
