While I'm sure what you say does happen. It is not the case with me. The only person or people I support are the ones who will do an honest job, without lies, nepotism, without corruption and without being self serving. I do not know Elaine Beckland who was removed from the ballot. However, I agree with horseygirl, anyone who has attended a township meeting, a school board meeting, even a PTA meeting knows that employee or employment discussions are in held in a closed door session. I'm sure this discussion will be in the meeting minutes and she should take a copy to an attorney. If Ms. Beckland's opponent, who has already managed to secure the only position for assessor on the ballet, was allowed by Ken Davis and any other officer from the township, to discuss matters of her employment in the township meeting, someone violated her privacy. Red Porsche clearly stated the assessor's position is part time. So how would anyone know if she were on or off the clock? This sounds like just more dirty tricks and politics and speaks volumes about the person who made the accusation...Tammy Hanfelder? Ms. Hanfelder has lived a life of privlege and apparently refuses to be denied anything, no matter how low she has to go to get it. This is no one I will vote for. The fact of who her father is friends with in the township is enough to prevent her from getting my vote. Who gets TWO jobs, each paying big money, in the township? Who thinks they are entitled to such special treatment? And I personally feel my taxes no longer need to feed and clothe every McKechan birthed in Madison County, so this latest relation of their's will not receive my vote either. Gene Baker managed to remain on the ballot in spite of garbage he submitted on his petition, thanks to his chum Ken Davis, who made sure the ballot was stacked in favor of his friend. It boils down to voting for the opposition of all those listed above. Not necessarily because they have more skills or experience, but because I am sick of the BS these local officials keep serving up on a silver platter. I also agree that if all these positions are part time, the salaries associated with them need to reflect PART TIME earnings. It's not a matter of who I am for, but it's definitely a matter of who I am against.
