I hope to be getting a dog soon. The first time since I had to put the last of dogs I grew up with down.
Because of my work schedules, I need a dog that can withstand (strike that enjoy) being alone for about 12 hours a day, with out destroying the house, and then tolerate (again strike that with "enjoy" ) me sleeping the 6 or so hours a day I spend sleeping soon after I return home.
I'm not big on 'small breeds', I love Boxers, and Labs, but they are a bit too active and owner dependent for me right now. I don't want to lock it in a pin, nor have a large yard for it to run in while I'm gone.
Does anyone know of a breed that enjoys being alone as much as those vile felines, but unlike a cat, could not be happier to see you (for reasons out side of 'I'd like some more of that stinky food please')?
