I ask - Do the inspectors drive on the same streets that you and I drive?
Or are they asleep at the wheel?
They certainly can't be driving by and seeing so many pieces of property in disrepair and turning a blind eye?
I think we should all take note of properties that are obviously eye sores and hazards on many levels and provide the appropriate person with a list of the troubling issues.
If they know we are watching them, maybe they will be more diligent about their jobs.
If it is the court systems that is allowing this steady decline in code enforcement then we need to find out who they are and hold them accountable as well. Judges can be replaced too.
These issues on our local level is were we can definitely make a difference. If judges are too lenient and have created a revolving door that hinders our enforcement, then they need to hear from us
Someone has to be held accountable, and we the voters HAVE to be the ones to do it.
