I know I don't know a whole lot about politics but I am just so disgusted with the debt we keep incurring and I am seeing no end. I don't understand why we have to continue to go in debt to create jobs - that is not making sense to me. It seems that the folks we have elected think we have deep pockets and those pockets are extending way past my lifetime and past my sons as well.

If it does not make sense on a personal level to continue to go in debt in order to get out of debt - why do we keep doing it. I thought the point of the job stimulus plan from before was to create "new" jobs. If it didn't work then why do we think it will now.

I heard today that our President was down on the Republicans already for not passing the bill he has set before them. I also heard it is another bill that has yet to be read. Why would he or any else even consider something being passed that has not been read as was the case with the Healthcare. I heard today that 2 million people have dropped out of the private sector insurance and 1.5 million of them are now on Medicare. If we are the government then who do we think is going to be footing this bill now? I guess I just don't understand how continuing to pass the buck onto those who are trying to support themselves is going to work. This does seem like Socialism and in such situations you take away ones sense of self-betterment.

I am not against helping those who cannot help themselves but there are many folks who can and just simply choose not to. The Bible says that if a man will not work he shall not eat. It is for every mans good that he works and provides for his family. Those who choose not to work, should not be handed things. Doing this hurts them and robs them of their ability to develope themselves as productive individuals. IMHO - trying to understand.
