"State Attorney Lawson Lamar praised prosecutors' efforts and conceded that their circumstantial case was not enough to remove reasonable doubt for jurors."
The jurors were following their instructions. Anyone who has been on a jury is given very clear concise instructions as to how to go about making their decision. Unfortunately this is a case the prosecution could not PROVE her guilt and that burden rests on the prosecution. I once sat on a jury and its indeed difficult to set aside emotions and look only at the facts and when a reasonable doubt creeps in, it becomes even more difficult. IMO she probably did it but she is considered innocent until proven guilty in our justice system.
