I really don't think "maintaining" the fields includes covering them up because of the rain.
From the mother of five grown children who all played sports at the park, we had our fair share of weather related cancellations, but other than that, the fields were always top notch.
I also love that our park district offers trips for seniors to places they might normally not get to go.
