Why is it an automatic assumption that tobacco consumption is more harmful that alcohol consumption? I wonder what the statistics are. I'm sure there are a lot more drinkers than there are smokers, and the last time I thought about it, I don't remember anyone being killed by a "smoking driver". I'm condoning neither, but have to ask how an employee who smokes on their off time is worse than someone who is getting plastered on theirs? Alcohol is a socially accepted drug, just a nicotine is a drug, but accepted not so much. People will crawl buck naked over broken glass to have their beer or cocktails which impair their judgement and motor skills and then turn their noses up at a smoker. That just rips me up.
