I just let someone else know about Lost Dogs Illinois. If you're on Facebook, use THIS FORM, they'll post in their newsfeed and on their twitter.
Also, if you're on FB, create an Album, with the dog's pic and in the ALBUM's description. Put LOST DOG and all the info. Album's can be set as public, and you can share the link anywhere and if it's the Album's description, the info will be seen without anybody having to click. It also lets people "share" it without having to copy/paste the information.
You can also put an ad on Craigslist, just beware of scammers wanting money for your dog through Western Union, etc. NEVER give money out as a reward unless you have the dog in your hands and ONLY if you want to. If someone has your dog and you can prove it, and holding it for ransom, call the cops. Petfinders.com also has an area for Lost and found pets that you can post.

The main key is to get as many people to know about it as possible as quickly as possible. Good luck, I know how heartbreaking it is to lose a pet.
