This is a good topic which I just discussed with my niece not too long ago. She's in her late 20's and never married.
She dated a guy for a few months and realized she was pregnant (she swears up and down to my wife they used protection that failed. I wasn't there, I won't judge.)
But I digress, here we are a few years later and she admitted to me that she doesn't know how to introduce her "baby's daddy".
If she says, "this is my ex", people automatically assume they were married and are now divorced. When she's introduced him as "this is my sons's dad", she's been questioned about sperm donations.
Her and the father get along quite well, but it is a gray area. Every other form of relationship has a tolerable and recognizable term except this one. Any suggestions?
