New process would use a machine that uses heat and lye to turn flesh into liquid, and bone turns into a residue, 6 states have open the door to it. Propenents say it's more environmently friendly than cremation, and easier (they suggest sending the liquid down the drain, and spreading bone residue like ashes).
Opponents don't like the idea of sending human remains of in any form downa drain, human dignity issue, the Catholic church worked against a New Hampshire law allowing it for those reasons....
I don't like the idea myself, (at least for when I pass on, I'll take traditional cremation, thank you )
