MrsC, I'm with you there now that I think about it.
In July of 2006, we didn't have phone, cable or power for nine days. Those three bills were the same as the month before's and after's, despite all those lines being down. I think cable was actually down a couple of days longer than nine days.
I pulled those bill records and found that it was as if the wind storm never happened.
Probably too late to contest it now.
But does this mean if it had been the other way around, those utilities can come after me for payment based on THEIR errors?
If Ameren messed up, it should be their loss and not the party who was being honest.
Besides that, I thought the City participates (ed) in a purchase for power from a second party?
