Why do you think all the jobs in the departments you mentioned are so coveted and rarely open to the general public?

And people wonder why our population in GC is shrinking...it's because young people don't have half a chance at snaring one of these jobs..friends and families of existing admins and the connected are first to fill them up.

Then you have the triple dippers, teachers and admins pulling their pensions, retire and migrate to some county position for another pension, sewer district people whose friends and families vote them into township positions, for additional salaries and pension bucks. Actually I think every single local township supervisor works at the Metro East Sanitary District...Shipley, GC Supervisor, Davis, Nameoki Supervisor, Economy, Venice Supervisor...

Let's not forget, some of these guys end up on the Madison County Board as well, with additional income and pensions. Ruebhausen, on the board, Fancher, on the board, Laub on the board...and so many more.

Yep operator, it takes a lot of big time bucks from us taxpayers to pay these same people in multiple positions with their multiple pensions, over and over and over...and then wait for their offspring and family to roll over into these positions for the next generation of taxpayers.

It's downright scandalous, well thought out, and definitely scandalous.
