Here's a really happy, cheerful, celebratory song...
I was listening to a song on "Willie's Roadhouse" on my little Sattelite player. I almost didn't spend to renew my trial, but decided to do so anyway.
I thought I have heard every sad Country song there is. I thought I was going to give country a rest becuase I know all the old songs and the new ones aren't worth listening to because they're not really country.
But then I came across one that I never heard with words "Touch my heart, feel the hurt, the pain and misery. And tell me again what love has done for me.... If you lived in my world, you'd forget how to smile..." "Feel the hurt; it's destroying me."
Such a predicament he is in, he can't live and yet he can't die.
That's some 200 proof Country music there; very little gets that rating. This one goes right to the core and touches the life experience of many ordinary men across the landscape.
Recording studios don't have the privilege of making music like this becuase they whored their soul for MTV style imaging and put artists out there based on their looks. It's too bad.
