If the police believed the people dangerous enough to bring the swat team, and fire automatic weapons, maybe (just maybe) it would have been best not to knock on the door (and not give them a reasonable amount of time to answer before breaking down the door) But rather to strategically use flash bangs, and enter through multiple entrances.
If the Police had been surveiling the house prior to the raid, they were doing a piss poor job. Either the "dealer" was severally short on stock, which the surveillance team should have been able to notice, OR, the people were not drug dealers at all, but rather adults who enjoy a substance that is not even criminal under that cities statutes.
It is not a simple matter getting a search warrant especially when a child is present
Apparently it is.
They didn't beat the man or were overly rude to anyone in the house.
They didnt beat the man because they knew they were on tape...I don't know who taught you manners, but breaking down a mans door is a bit rude if you ask me.
There are two people that are to blame for the death of those animals and creating the worst night for that child and it is the man and woman that live there.
No, I would say that the cops who acted unreasonable are. They pulled the triggers. They had poor (if any) surveillance. They abused the rights of two people, who by all observable accounts were acting peacefully in there own home.
