Actually in a real-life court, Jeremy, the defense in a case like this would simply opine that all you have to do in 'internet harassment' is log off and stay the hell off the website where you believe you're being harassed.
Coming back again for more would immediately negate any claim of harassment because, well, you came back for more.
It's not like you're in a real-life bar and being hassled by a drunk guy who won't leave you alone.
You're equating online harassment with real-life harassment. Any adult would walk away from the online kind.
