I for one will not sign a petition to ban anyone. While yes, the is a privately owned board open to the public, it seems the owners have free speech in mind for everyone with little interference unless absolutely neccessary. When people get into the mindset that they can rally together to silence someone elses rights just because they are offended, then we might as well institute a new form of government. The 1rst amendment protects not just that which is pleasing for everyone to hear, but that which is ugly and offensive. They are individual rights, not collective rights. A majority can't vote away or legislate away someone elses rights no matter how unpopular. While it's true the 1rst amendment may not apply to a discussion board such as this, it seems to apply in the owners mindset for the users of this discussion board. If you don't like what someone has to say, ignore it, like i'm sure many people may do with me. Just my thoughts. Take it or leave it.
