“American products are more expensive,” Norwood admitted, “But in the long run it won’t be as costly because you’re supporting jobs in your community.” “We’re all struggling, but on a daily basis we can make difference by supporting American companies,” said Norwood. “Right now, 5% of what we buy is made in the USA so even if we can increase that amount, we can stimulate the economy and create more jobs.” This is the big problem. Everyone with the "Walmart mentality" just shops price. They don't care about the bigger picture (see above statements). I am struggling just as much as everybody else, a little more than many and a little less than some. But...when I shop for things that I need for house and home, I ignore the fact that Walmart even exists. I don't so much as glance at their sale fliers. The only time I will even go there and look to see if they have what I need is after I've checked all over town first.
