That is very sad. We place a certain amount of trust on pastors, and lay people who become leaders in the church.

This is a sickness that is all over the news. Some teacher, pastor, or scout leader is accused of wronging a child, either by direct contact or through virtual contact.

Wronging a child has to be brought to justice. It is against the order of nature and it kills a young person's development.

However - it is a sickness. I believe for those who have not committed a crime but are tempted to do so that they need support. They need a place to go before they end up in jail.

    It seems so serious.

The internet itself is a mindmap - and those who read browsing histories legally or illegally are basically reading a person's mind. What soemone is thinking about they are browsing about.

If someone has a sickness on their mind - they need a means to be able to deal with it. They need that last safety net before what's on their mind leads to jail.

I believe that with the increase of news story about adults who abuse children - something has to be done with the adults before they go down that road.

That's why educating all society about the habits of predators is essential so all people can identify unusual or peculiar behavior. Kids need to be informed on what they can do.

Lastly, there almost needs to be a counseling network out there - so if someone thinks they have that sickness - they can go and work it out before they ever begin victimizing children.

You may say that I am trying to help criminals in the sickest variety. No I am not -- I am trying to protect all of society, the children and possible victims first.

Just as someone is addicted to adult porn - any kind of pornography addiction is an addiction like alcoholism, overeating, smoking, etc.

Just as they have AA and nicotine patches, I think there needs to be a real push to get some support for those who have the sickness of addiction to pornography and anyone who is (God Forbid) attracted to children.

Waiting until someone has committed a crime and then treating someone like an animal or putting them to death may seem just at the moment. But in order for that to happen, someone has to commit an act to violate another person.

I believe that more needs to be done on the end of prevention.

We have come a long way as Churches, Scout Groups, and Schools have educated students and parents about youth protection.

Still I think more needs to be done - or else stories like this will continue to be a near daily occurrence in the news media.
