Helped hubby clean the gutters ( I was the one who held the ladder, then the phone rang and I forgot he was up there...yikes! I got a chewing) Then he gave me an elliptical machine for my birthday and we put it together, what an experience THAT was! It went something like this: Hubby: Let's take everything out of the box and lay it out. Me: OK, sounds like a plan. Hubby: Then get the hardware and organize it. Me: Hmmmmm...OK are you gonna help? Hubby: I AM helping. I'm telling you how to organize it. Me: Said nothing, was afraid to open my mouth at this point, BUT I was thinking "Mister, you are NOT a boss, you're just a laborer too, humpf" Hubby: Oh, and go get the tools we need too. Me: And the tools are where? Hubby: Looking at me as if I'd lost my mind...They are in the garage, duh! Me: As steam was spouting from my ears and nostrils, I went to the garage to get the tools because I REALLY wanted my elliptical put together. Come back in and hand him the tools. Hubby: With hands on hips "I wanted the OTHER phillips head screwdriver". Mind you, the OTHER phillips head screwdriver was the exact same size only with a "blue" handle. Now all parts, tools and hardware are all laid out, very nicely I might add, and we proceed to get to work. We got to about step 5 and needed a "small, wavy washer". Handed him the "small, wavy washer". Hubby: Are you sure this is the right one? Me: Rolling my eyes, "Yes, I measured it up to the paper". Proceeding on and get to step 17. Hubby: Ok, now I need the "large, wavy washer". Handed him the "large, wavy washer". It doesn't fit Hubby: Are you SURE this is the right one? Me: Well, of course! I did measure it up to the paper. (Rolling eyes again) The washer will not fit no matter what. Me: They probably messed up packageing the hardware and gave us 4 "small, wavy washers". Hubby then proceeded to back track, taking apart steps 17 down to step 6. OOPS! I gave him the wrong washer for step 6. I ran and hid for 2 hours until he finished and went to bed. Crap! That was an experience!
