Pitching win's championships not first baseman and with our starting rotation we can use this $300 million dollars to get several pretty damn good middle relievers and a top notch closer, enough said!! My advise to the Cards management is to tell El Hombre adios omigas, your welcome to take your talents and win your batting titles and MVP's in Chicago, while we here in St Louis settle for World Championships. Maybe this will also force Mr. Holiday to step up and earn his $100 million dollars!!! Anyone with any common sense has to know that the writing was on the wall for Albert when the Cardinals signed Lance Berkman. They knew back then that they were not willing to give him the years or the dollars he was looking for, but thought by signing Berkman that they could reach a compromise and sign a deal for lesser years and amount. Hopefully for us their plan will backfire and we will have a conderable amount of cash to spend on several quality pitchers, besides anyone that has played the game knows that home runs are inning killers. Just my opinion.
