To StL, there is no way he is worth A-Rod money. We could hire three very good players for the 300 million that he is likely demanding. Sure, he is one of the greatest, but there are limits to what a team can reasonably give up to keep such a player.
Think about it: Do we really want to be taking a ten year risk...and have to pay this guy $30 mil / year when he is 40 years old? I think not.
If he can't be signed for the lower 200s, I'd happily say farewell!
