If your looking for a leather like material, you can use the sheep skin shammies they have at autozone. I use them for lots of things, aside from drying cars, (Pads/Cradles for musical instrument holders mainly.) They real ones are high quality sheep skin.
The color might not be right, but I would assume you could die it.
