There have been times where Iowa got the flooding and we didn't. But we're at the choke point where the Missouri empties into the Mississippi and all the water from Wisconsin and Northern Indiana flow into the Illinois river (and not to mention the junk from Chicago). So there is a very good chance of flooding. At the top of the Illinois River and the rivers that flow into it is some hefty snowpack at this time. We are considered upper Missisippi - anything north of the Ohio. Sometimes the area from St. Louis to Memphis is considered the Mid Mississippi. Either way, it's going to be an interesting Spring as people emerge from some deep snow pack.
