    I have seen this with the Fire Department and now with the Police Department. Maybe the City is moving away from a perceived 'Good Ol Boy' Mentality.

    As the Post Dispatch reports - the latest New Hire is from Olney, and the department is back to full strength at 60 officers.

    I wish the new officer the best.

    So that's one taxing body that seems to be reforming some of its practice - the City of Granite City.
